• MANATI IMAGE CENTER

    Health, Manati 2007

This commission asked for the architectural design of a 38,000 sqft medical office building. It would host an advanced radiology center with state of the art healthcare equipment, including MRI, CT scans, and others. The program also included underground parking facilities and independent medical offices for lease. This new radiology image center was to connect from the second floor to the existing facilities located on a lot across the street by way of a new bridge. The street glass curtain wall facade is interrupted by an opaque volume cube projecting from it and housing the main MRI room which represented the technological advancement of this medical office building design, while at the same time serving as an example of modern healthcare architecture for the town of Manati, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
