The project asked for an architectural design that guided the remodeling of an existing elderly couple's house, located in Tintillo Hills, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The commission included the redistribution of spaces to allow for the inclusion of natural light, making the once dark, confined spaces, more livable. The reorganization of areas was a key factor for opening up the house towards the patios and terraces and maximizing natural lighting ventilation, which would, in turn, evoke a more tropical atmosphere and make for a more energy-efficient, modern home.
